“Gaffage and Clink” National Tour Rescheduled to August & September 2021

Original ticket purchases are valid for entry on the rescheduled show dates #KeepYourTicket

The Whitlams’ “Gaffage and Clink 2020” tour, originally set to commence on Monday 3 August 2020 with 13 sold-out dates, has been rescheduled to August and September 2021. All existing ticket-holders need not take any action – original purchases are valid for entry on the rescheduled show dates and fans are encouraged to #KeepYourTicket and attend the rescheduled 2021 shows.

Ticket-holders will be contacted directly via their show’s venue or the authorised ticketing agency regarding these date changes, and steps will be provided should the 2021 dates not suit.

The previously announced opening artists for each show – Ben Lee, Alex Lloyd, Phil Jamieson and Emily Wurramara – are all confirmed to perform on the corresponding dates next year, with the one exception of the Astor Theatre in Perth where Ben Lee will replace Alex Lloyd.

Tickets are still available for shows in each city and town, with the exception of the Canberra Theatre Centre show originally scheduled for 27 August 2020 (new show details will be advised as soon as possible).

The Whitlams sincerely apologise to any ticket-holders affected by the rescheduling and thank fans for their understanding and support in these extraordinary circumstances.

Three weeks after tickets went on sale earlier this year, the “Gaffage and Clink 2020” tour had already added dates across the country including a second Enmore Theatre show, third shows at The Triffid in Brisbane and The Corner Hotel in Melbourne, and multiple dates in Perth, Adelaide and Newcastle.

Tim Freedman says: “We couldn’t wait to get stuck into this tour, but we have decided to be patient and make sure it still goes ahead as originally intended – with the same great bills in the same great venues, with lots of joyful, carefree full houses. Pushing it back a whole year seems a long time, but I think some prudence now will pay off for us all in the long run.”

The Whitlams will be releasing some new music before the end of the year which will feature in next year’s tour.

All tickets purchased for original dates are valid for the new, rescheduled dates with the exception of Blue Mountains Theatre and Shoalhaven Entertainment Centre. Those people will be contacted by the venue and tickets will be reissued for those events.
